Manila, 7 January 2016 — Forty six young leaders from 8 Asian countries started using leadership skills in the Young Leaders Program created jointly by TransformationFirst.Asia, Natalie in the Light Inc. and Urban Youth Academy. Their goal is to become a #Hero2030 for implementing the #GlobalGoals, and they came to Manila to join the 1st Asia-Pacific Youth Exchange to empower young leaders in playing an active role to achieve the world's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

The new Young Leaders Program started with in-person training sessions with coaches, followed by a week of local immersion practice and learning from experiences and getting feedback. The first local immersion practice is hosted by the Laguna Lake Development Authority of the Philippines. The participating young leaders also use the OnTop Forum of Aspiring Leaders to connect with each other, learn new skills, and share their experiences during and after their time together in Manila.

The Program was created by Hyoungmin Kim, Director of the Urban Youth Academy, Coach Wouter of TransformationFirst.Asia and Coach Judee of Natalie in the Light Inc.  Booyoung Jang and Byunggyu Park of the Urban Youth Academy played key roles in the organization.
